ANSEL Real Estate Agent Mobile Application Case Study

The Project
ANSEL Finance help Diasporans and real estate investors secure funds for home country and international real estate property investment.
This UX case study documents only the process involved in designing ANSEL Finance mobile application for real estate agents.

Ideation
In the first meeting I had with ANSEL Finance founder and co-founders, they had a rough outline of solutions they were exploring.

The team and I spent an iteration exploring problems within the real estate technology market and how to make the development of the application a success. Having journeyed in the design business industry, I was able to guide the conversation professionally.

After keying in on the problem statement in the market we were interested in, we decided to explore and hunt for solutions regarding the exploitation of real estate agents and prospective mortgage loan applicants.

Key Research Insight
We conducted interviews, surveys and online research to develop our understanding of how the target audience (real estate agents and potential diasporan investors) who would be willing to take a property investment loan would interact with the project scope. As a result of our research, we gathered five key insights that we used to guide the project;

1. Most investors abroad bears the fear of getting scammed when trying to invest, purchase a property or receive a property investment loan in their home country.

2. Lack of consistent follow up by agents when a prospective investors show less interest in a property
Investors abroad who are willing and ready to get a property find it hard to locate active sellers as a result of their distance and even when they do, most agents appear to be unqualified.

3. Agents struggled with earning client’s trust.

4. Agents go through a lot of stress when it comes to receiving their commission and most time they don’t get up to what was promised.
